Description
The Skills Development Facilitation Practitioner qualification is designed to equip learners with the ability to plan, conduct, and administer skills development planning in an occupational setting. As skills development becomes increasingly critical in South Africa’s workforce, this programme ensures that practitioners can support workplace training initiatives, compliance with national regulations, and talent development strategies.
The purpose of this qualification is to develop competent professionals in skills development planning and reporting, ensuring that organisations align training efforts with national legislation. Learners will gain expertise in conducting skills assessments, facilitating workplace learning programmes, and managing reporting in accordance with Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA) requirements. This qualification is aligned with the Occupational Certificate: Training and Development Practitioner, allowing learners to further specialise in learning and development facilitation.

Modules
- Statutory Learning and Development Environment – Covers legal frameworks, regulatory requirements, and policies that govern skills development in South Africa. (8 Credits)
- Workplace Learning and Development Planning, Evaluation and Reporting – Focuses on structuring learning interventions, tracking progress, and ensuring regulatory compliance. (8 Credits)
- Plan, Conduct, and Report on a Learning and Development Needs Analysis – Equips learners with the ability to assess training requirements and align them with workforce development goals. (16 Credits)
- Conduct Skills Development Facilitation (SDF) Processes – Provides practical experience in skills development planning, submission of Workplace Skills Plans (WSPs), and reporting on Mandatory Grant applications. (8 Credits)
